West Bengal government appoints Shubhanjan Das, as Additional Secretary Health department

The West Bengal has appointed IAS officer Shubhanjan Das as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare Department in the place of Subhra Chakraborty.

The 2005-batch IAS officer was holding the post of State Project Director, Paschim Banga Sarva Shiksha Mission (PBSSM), West Bengal.

Chakraborty, the 2007-batch IAS officer, has been assigned as State Project Director, PBSSM.

According to Arnab Roy, Principal Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Government of West Bengal, “The Governor of West Bengal is pleased to appoint Shubhanjan Das as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare Department in the place of Subhra Chakraborty, until further order and in the interest of public service.

In the past, Das served at various key positions, including Additional Secretary, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development in the state. Earlier, the state government transferred Vivek Kumar, Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, and brought Narayan Swaroop Nigam as his replacement.
