Construction Of International Film City In YEIDA Set To Commence Within Two Months

The much awaited construction of the International Film City in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), a project helmed by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is set to commence within the next few months.

Assuring timely initiation, the entrusted company has pledged to undertake critical groundwork, including digging and labelling, on the allocated land.

Renowned film director and producer Boney Kapoor's company, Bayview Project LLP, in collaboration with the Bhutani Group, has been entrusted with the responsibility to execute this project. Notably, the UP government has facilitated the process by providing a Letter Of Agency (LOA) along with the land allotment in Jewar.

In alignment with the 'Make in India' and 'Make in UP' initiatives, the company has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritise indigenous production methods in the proposed International Film City. A dedicated team will be dispatched to explore cutting-edge technologies abroad, aiming to consolidate filmmaking resources within a single location.

Having secured the final bid for the film city in Jewar with an 18 per cent revenue share, Boney Kapoor and the Bhutani Group are now gearing up for the project's implementation. Recently, Kapoor and his team met with CM Yogi Adityanath at his official residence, where the LOA was presented. Following this milestone, meticulous planning for the construction phase is underway.

Rajiv Arora, General Manager of Bayview Projects LLP, expressed optimism following a positive meeting with CM Yogi, underscoring the commitment to deliver a world-class film city. Kapoor emphasised that the venture is driven by a passion for filmmaking, ensuring that every filmmaker will have access to comprehensive facilities.

CM Yogi's directive to reflect the essence of Prime Minister Modi's initiatives in the film city's development has been embraced by the project team. The objective is to commence implementation within the next two months, adhering to principles of indigenous manufacturing.

The vision for the International Film City in YEIDA promises an immersive cinematic experience for filmmakers, offering convenient access to diverse Indian and foreign locations on-site. From the snow-clad peaks of Kashmir to the iconic landmarks of Delhi, the film city aims to encapsulate India's rich diversity within its premises.

Equipped with the latest technology and state-of-the-art facilities, the film city is poised to propel Uttar Pradesh to new heights of development. Boney Kapoor's forthcoming exploration of global cinema technologies underscores the commitment to integrating cutting-edge advancements into the project. As preparations accelerate, the International Film City in YEIDA is poised to redefine filmmaking in Uttar Pradesh and beyond.
