Genesys International, a leading Indian player in mapping technology, has secured two significant projects worth Rs 35 crores from Neom and the Saudi Geological Survey Authority. These projects represent a key step in the adoption of geospatial technology for infrastructure development in Saudi Arabia.

Neom, one of the most transformative urban development projects globally, spans 26,500 square kilometres and aims to revolutionise urban planning with a focus on environmental sustainability. Genesys International will collaborate with Neom's Land Affairs Compliance and Enforcement division to deliver high-precision mapping and ensure land-use compliance across the project's master plan areas. These include Oxagen, Gulf of Aqaba, Trojena, and the Line/Spine.

The Saudi Geological Survey project will concentrate on developing a Spatial Information System aimed at managing geological risks in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Riyadh regions. This initiative falls under the authority's Natural Geological Risks Monitoring program.

Commenting on the developments, Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director of Genesys International, stated, "Geospatial technology is central to Neom’s ambitious vision, and our expertise will ensure accurate land-use verification, contributing to the project’s sustainable development. Our capabilities also position us to assist the Saudi Geological Survey in managing risks, allowing us to identify and mitigate hazards with precision."

He added, "By leveraging 3D Digital Twin technology and spatial information systems, we aim to enhance efficiency in collecting, processing, and analysing spatial data, reinforcing our standing in advanced mapping technologies."

Genesys has also recently seen success with its Digital Twin program, which has been adopted by several major Indian cities.
