Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has introduced a state-of-the-art General Aviation (GA) Terminal exclusively designed for private jet owners and users. This new facility is set to cater to the growing demand for chartered flights in Hyderabad, serving both business and personal travel needs.

Speaking at the launch, Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport, expressed his enthusiasm about the new terminal, saying, "We are thrilled to unveil our latest offering, a premium General Aviation terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Hyderabad is one of the thriving economic powerhouses with the second-highest concentration of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and booming pharmaceutical and IT industries. The development of Global Capability Centers in the region by MNCs has boosted private jet movements. Redefining the flying experience, this new facility will set a new standard for an extraordinary travel experience."

Spanning 11,234 square feet, the GA Terminal is strategically located beside the main RGIA terminal, featuring a private entrance and dedicated parking. The terminal's design blends classical architecture with Indo-Saracenic-Indo-Gothic styles, creating an atmosphere of elegance and comfort. It is equipped to handle both domestic and international General Aviation passengers, offering a range of services including dedicated lounges, private lounges, separate arrival and departure corridors, check-in facilities, emigration-immigration services, customs checks, hand baggage processing, security clearance, and a breath analyser test facility for crew members.

Additional amenities include a staff lounge, duty-free shopping, and Wi-Fi-enabled services for seamless connectivity. Passengers are chauffeur-driven directly to and from their aircraft, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free travel experience.

Panicker highlighted the airport's commitment to providing a world-class experience for travellers, stating, "This terminal will serve as an extension of luxury for many of our frequent high-net-worth individual travellers, offering unparalleled comfort, convenience, and bespoke services. With our commitment to providing a world-class experience for our travellers, we are committed to enhancing excellence in the years to come.”

The launch of the new General Aviation Terminal at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport marks a significant step in enhancing the travel experience for private aircraft users, setting new standards in comfort, efficiency, and luxury. This initiative is expected to further solidify Hyderabad’s position as a key hub for private aviation in India.
