Varanasi Smart City Integrates CCTV Cameras With Kashi Integrated Command & Control Centre Under Safe City Project

The Kashi Integrated Command and Control Centre at Varanasi and private CCTV cameras throughout the city are being integrated as part of the Safe City Project in order to carry out the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's "Safe City, Safe State" vision and to boost civil security.

As per official information, the work of integration of CCTV cameras installed at private level in the city's bank, school, college, gym, hospital, petrol pump, parking, public place, shops, etc. and those in Kashi Integrated Command and Control Centre with all concerned departments of Varanasi is under progress.

At present, the work of integration of more than 400 private CCTV cameras installed at various commercial establishments, hospitals, private and government schools, parks, petrol pumps etc. in Varanasi has been completed and in the future the work of integration of maximum number of CCTV cameras will be done. A target has been set to saturate the entire city.

Chief Executive Officer of Varanasi Smart City and Municipal Commissioner Sipu Giri said, “This step is proving to be a milestone in further strengthening the security cover of Varanasi. With this step, monitoring of Kashi can be done in a more planned manner.

Giri appealed to the people of Varanasi to come forward for the integration of their personal CCTV cameras, especially those whose viewing angle is towards the road or lane, and send an email to mail@varanasimmartcity.gov.in providing details through so that this work can be done in a more comprehensive manner.
