Capital Projects In Focus At Abu Dhabi Infra Summit

Industry challenges around infrastructure delivery, innovation gaps, and local collaboration frameworks will be central to discussions at the inaugural Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS), announced by the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) for 17–18 June 2025.
Set to take place at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, the summit aims to convene policymakers, private sector stakeholders, and technical experts to examine how infrastructure projects in the Emirate can be made more sustainable, efficient, and locally integrated. The event will focus less on announcements and more on enabling dialogue across sectors grappling with supply chain constraints, urbanisation pressures, and changing investment dynamics.
According to ADPIC, the discussions will centre on how Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure ecosystem can better foster innovation, streamline project execution, and strengthen public-private coordination. Panel sessions will cover topics including regulatory reforms, digital infrastructure, financing models, and sustainable urban planning.
“This platform is intended to explore common challenges and practical solutions through local and regional collaboration,” said Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director General of ADPIC. “The goal is to align infrastructure delivery with long-term development needs while drawing on insights from those operating on the ground.”
With capital-intensive projects underway across the UAE, the summit arrives at a time when local industry stakeholders are increasingly calling for more agile planning processes, improved project governance, and policy frameworks that support both scale and sustainability.
While international experts and investors are expected to participate, ADIS will largely focus on domestic capacity-building, local supply chains, and institutional coordination. The agenda includes closed-door working sessions, sectoral roundtables, and workshops intended to facilitate direct engagement between regulators and operators.
ADPIC, established in 2023, plays a coordinating role in Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure programme, overseeing the planning and execution of capital projects spanning housing, transport, education, and community assets, as per the official statement. The Centre’s mandate includes promoting efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across public and private entities involved in infrastructure development.
