UP Govt Gifts State-of-the-Art Multilevel Parking To Ayodhya

The Uttar Pradesh government has gifted Ayodhya a new multilevel parking facility, a much-anticipated addition to the city's infrastructure. Costing Rs 3708.49 lakh, the Laxman Kunj Smart Vehicle Multi-Storey Parking, situated near the Collectorate, was inaugurated by District Magistrate Nitish Kumar on Thursday.

The newly constructed parking facility boasts the capacity to accommodate 282 four-wheelers and 309 two-wheelers simultaneously. Additionally, the premises will provide parking space for more than 1500 two-wheelers in front of the building.

The facility, constructed under the State Smart City Scheme, offers not only parking solutions but also features 15 shops, a canteen, four lifts, and toilets on all floors.

District Magistrate Nitish Kumar highlighted that the introduction of the Laxman Kunj Smart Vehicle Multi-Storey Parking aims to provide improved parking facilities for lawyers, officials, employees of the Collectorate and Bar Association, as well as the general public and litigants visiting the area.

To ensure the convenience of tourists and devotees visiting Ayodhya, the District Magistrate emphasised the comprehensive parking arrangements made across the city. Multi-level parking structures have been established in Tedhibazar East, Tedhibazar West, Kaushalesh Kunj, and Amaniganj.

Moreover, in anticipation of the influx of devotees following the Pran Pratistha programme of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, extensive surface parking is being organised near Guptarghat, Rajghat, Saket Petrol Pump, and Sphatik Shila, providing parking for approximately 40 thousand vehicles.

The District Magistrate also informed the public about ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility with the construction of five railway level crossings. The completion of the railway level crossing near Udaya in December marked a significant step, with finishing touches underway. The railway level crossing at Mohabra is expected to be finalised by January, and the remaining crossings are scheduled for completion by March 2024.

This comprehensive approach to parking infrastructure and accessibility reflects the Yogi government's commitment to the development and enhancement of Ayodhya, ensuring a seamless experience for residents and visitors alike.
