Pink City to emerge as Green City: Vasundhara Raje

JAIPUR, June 18: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said that the state capital, known as 'Pink City' would now emerge as 'Green City' with better landscaping, walkways and parks here. The city will be beautified with new parks, better road landscape, walkways and elevated roads in phased manner in the near future, she said at a high level meeting of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA). She instructed the JDA officials not to tamper with the beauty of the city while building elevated roads. Reviewing JDA's projects, Raje said that 14 ancient and historic water bodies would be renovated for tourism purpose with a budgetary support of Rs 4 crore. Butter fly valley, Silvan Park, Rose Garden and Jaipur ring road are also being planned, she said. Raje directed the officials to put all works of JDA online like e-application, e-auction, e-community centre etc.
