"There will be focus on providing ample job opportunities for youth in the policy," she said. She added that Punjab and Haryana governments had agreed to give 40 million gallons per day (MGD) to Chandigarh from the Bhakra Main Line which would help in bridging the gap between demand and supply of water. Punjab has already given its consent in writing, Haryana has agreed verbally and we will have their agreement in writing very soon," she said. With regard to power, Kher said that in view of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's thrust on solar power, it has been decided to enhance Chandigarh's solar power target from 10 MW to 30 MW by 2022. "We will install 5 MW solar plants this year. In just one year, rooftops solar plants of overall capacity of 3.08 MW have been installed and commissioned on 58 government buildings," she said.
