NEW DELHI, December 16: Delhi Police today launched a mobile version of its online facility for lodging e-FIR in case of theft of vehicles in the national capital.
Commissioner of Police B S Bassi launched the mobile app at Delhi Police Headquarters.
The app enables lodging complaints of vehicle theft following which a copy of the same is received without going to a police station.
Immediately after registration of the case, investigation is undertaken electronically. A copy of digitally signed FIR is received via email by the complainant, SHO of concerned police station, designated court and insurance company.
It is also featured with auto messaging to all concerned including the PCR, all SHOs and DCPs in Delhi, State Transport Authority, National Crime Record Bureau, State Crime Record Bureau and all SSPs in India for search of vehicle.
The app will generate 'Untraced Report' digitally on the 21st day after lodging complaint, if the vehicle is not found by the police, which is acceptable in a court.
The police today also launched the webpages of District Police (11 districts) to share details of police activities with public.
