In an effort to enhance the quality of life for its citizens, the Yogi government is swiftly progressing with the installation of open-air gym equipment in public parks throughout the state. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a comprehensive action plan has been meticulously prepared to oversee this initiative.
As part of this strategic plan, the deployment of open-air gym equipment has been initiated in 100 parks located in the state's capital, Lucknow. Acting upon the directives of the UP government, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has decided to expedite the project by employing an e-bidding process through the issuance of e-tenders.
The deadline for online submission of applications via e-tender, as set by the LDA, has been established as 10 November. The tender review will take place on 11 November to identify the successful applicant who will be responsible for executing the project. It's important to note that joint ventures are not permitted under this tender; hence, only individual companies or firms are eligible to apply.
The chosen applicant will not only be tasked with installing open-air gym equipment in designated Lucknow parks within a six-month period but will also be responsible for their proper maintenance for five years.
To facilitate this transformative park initiative involving open-air gym equipment, the LDA has set a tender fee of Rs 4,366. Additionally, interested applicants participating in this tender are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 7.32 lakh.
The e-tendering process will follow a two-phase approach: the first phase will assess eligible applicants through financial bids, while the second phase will evaluate them based on technical bids.
Each applicant may submit only one application, and multiple submissions from the same applicant will be rejected. The company or firm securing this tender through the bidding process will be responsible for adhering to the quality and maintenance standards outlined in the Uttar Pradesh Government's regulations.
The state government's primary objective is to promote the health and well-being of the public by enhancing the amenities in parks. The UP government is committed to extending this facility to citizens across the state, encompassing the 2,400 parks in Lucknow. It is anticipated that, in alignment with this mission, the government will diligently work to expand this open-air gym initiative to 500 parks as expeditiously as possible, with an initial target of introducing this facility to 100 parks within the next six months.
