LAS Shruti Singh Charged as DPIIT Joint Secretary
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Monday approved the appointment/premature repatriations of officers at Joint Secretary or equivalent level with pay at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix. A total of 44 officials were on the list.
Shruti Singh, lAS (PB:2004) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) for an overall tenure of five years upto 18/03/2023 from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
She is a 2004, Punjab Cadre officer of the Indian Administrative Service. She hails from Haryana and is a graduate in History (Gold Medalist) and has done her post-graduation in Public Administration from Punjab University. As a member of the Indian Administrative Service, she has wide experience in areas of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Industrial Investment, District Administration, Land Revenue Management, SC/ST Welfare and Social Justice and Empowerment. Since 2018, she is on central deputation to the Government of India.
She also worked on the Inner Engineering Leadership Program conducted by the Isha (Foundation) Yoga Centre in Coimbatore as a part of her in-service training for one week in 2016-17.
