Ayodhya Instals Multilingual Signages For Enhanced Tourist Experience

In a bid to enhance the convenience of tourists visiting Ayodhya, the Ayodhya Nagar Nigam has installed multi lingual signages across the city. Launched as a part of the instructions of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the project involves the installation of signage in 22 Indian languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution and six languages designated by the United Nations.

This strategic move aims to eliminate the navigation challenges faced by both domestic and international tourists, providing them with comprehensive information in their preferred languages.

The signage installation has already commenced at key locations in Ayodhya, including Hanumangarhi, Kanak Bhawan, Ram Ki Paidi, Ayodhya Dham Junction, Tedhi Bazaar, and Ayodhya Airport. The Chief Minister has set an ambitious deadline for the completion of this project, ensuring that all signage boards will be in place before 22 January.

The designated locations for the installation of these multilingual signage plaques include prominent landmarks such as Ram Ki Paidi, Nageshwar Nath Temple, Bhajan Sandhya Sthal Naya Ghat, Queen Ho Park, Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, and many others.

The plaques will offer information in Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Oriya, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Gujarati, Dogri, Tamil, Telugu, Nepali, Punjabi, Bengali, Bodo, Manipuri, Marathi, Malayalam, Maithili, Santhali, Sanskrit, Sindhi, as well as the six official languages of the United Nations - Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.

The rapid progress of this initiative is evident as plaques are being swiftly installed in various locations, ranging from religious sites like Hanuman Garhi and Digambar Jain Temple to infrastructure landmarks such as Ayodhya Dham Railway Station and the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Bypass.

This visionary effort is expected to significantly contribute to Ayodhya's status as a tourist-friendly destination, fostering a more inclusive and accessible experience for visitors from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
