Ajmer to get its Sewerage project on roll

After a task force of Ajmer Municipal Corporation worked for seven days to remove the blockages at many places and piled garbages of polythenes and stones at many lines.

Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project kick-started the work of laying underground sewerage line in 2002 and handed it over to local authorities for maintenance and framework, which, however, did not operate seamlessly and Ajmer city fought with their garbage issue on a regular basis.

Commissioner, Ajmer Municipal Corporation, Chinmayee Gopal acknowledged to say that it was hard to bring out the garbage as well as silt which accumulated over the years inside the sewerage line. Without the sewerage line functioning properly, the nullahs and sewers surrounding the Anasagar lake were flowing inside the lake and led to the death of hundreds of marine life.
