CHANDIGARH, February 26: City based Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company Hartek Power today said it has successfully connected two solar power projects of 28 MW to the grid for a leading solar developer in Muktsar district of Punjab.
With this, Hartek Power has become the first company to accomplish the task under Phase 2 of the state's renewable energy policy, a company release said here.
Hartek Power commissioned the 66/11 KV substations for the 24-MW and 4-MW solar projects.
The scope of work of these projects awarded in October included complete turnkey solutions and post-inverter works covering the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the power plants as well as electrification and installation of substations, it said.
With the completion of these projects, Hartek Power has connected 72 MW of solar power to the grid in Punjab out of the state's total installed capacity of about 245 MW.
"We ensure high quality standards and create immense value for our clients in terms of services and timely execution.
That explains our market dominance as the fastest growing EPC company in Punjab," Hartek Group Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Hartek Singh said in a statement.
"We have now set our eyes on the 500-MW solar projects recently awarded by the state government under the Phase 3 auction," he said adding that Hartek Power has connected about 180 MW of solar power to the grid.
