JAIPUR, November 14: The Rajasthan government has inked 14 agreements in the housing and infrastructure sectors ahead of the upcoming Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit scheduled to be held on November 19 and 20.
The government has also planned an exclusive session on smart cities and highways during the upcoming summit.
In build up to the final event, the state government has also undertaken several initiatives to promote planned urbanisation.
"With rapid urbanisation, pressure on infrastructure will increase. It is vital that our planning and resource allocation account for the growing demand for affordable housing, waste management, energy efficiency, mass transportation and air quality," a statement quoting CM Vasundhara Raje said today.
The session will be focused on reshaping urban infrastructure in a manner that benefits the citizens of the state as well as makes Rajasthan a business-friendly destination for investors.
It will be Chaired by Mahindra and Mahindra Director Arun Nanda and will be attended by the Minister for Urban Development & Housing , Rajasthan Rajpal Singh Shekhawat and other industry stakeholders.
