The Noida International Airport Authority shared on Monday that commercial flight operations from Noida International Airport are set to begin by late April 2025. The announcement underscores the rapid progress in construction and the crucial phases ahead as the project approaches its operational readiness milestone.

"Construction and development work at Noida International Airport is at an advanced stage, and we continue to pass important milestones on the road to operational readiness. This is a large and complex project, and the next few weeks of construction activities are crucial," stated the airport authority in a press release.

The construction of key infrastructure, including the runway, passenger terminal, and control tower, is progressing swiftly. Recent contracts awarded for ground handling, commercial area operations, and essential maintenance services mark significant steps forward. Additionally, agreements have been finalised with several airlines to establish flight connections from the new airport.

Collaboration with Tata Projects and other key stakeholders continues to drive the project forward. The airport authority emphasised the importance of these partnerships in ensuring the timely completion and operational commencement of the airport.

Upon completion, Noida International Airport will significantly enhance connectivity for the greater Delhi area and Western Uttar Pradesh, linking these regions to both domestic and international destinations. The airport aims to blend Swiss efficiency with Indian hospitality, providing passengers with a wide range of commercial attractions and services.

Setting a new benchmark in environmental sustainability, Noida International Airport is poised to become India’s first net zero emissions airport. At its inauguration, the airport will feature a single runway and a terminal capable of handling 12 million passengers annually, with plans for future expansion.

Yamuna International Airport (YIAPL) has been established to oversee the development, construction, and operation of this ambitious greenfield project.
