Government of India transfers14 Senior IAS officers

In a circular issued by the Cabinet Committee of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Government of India has approved transfer orders of Senior IAS officers across departments. The transfers approved by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet include the following popular names:

Tarun Bajaj, a 1988 batch Haryana Cadre senior IAS officer, presently serving as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance is transferred as Secretary, Revenue, Department of Finance, while, Ajay Seth, a 1987 batch IAS of Karnataka cadre is transferred as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs in the cadre in place of Tarun Bajaj.

Senior IAS bureaucrat of 1988 batch Kerala cadre Gyanesh Kumar is appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, wherein he was serving as Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs, earlier. 

Another prominent Himachal Pradesh cadre officer of 1988 batch bureaucrat, Ali Raza Rizvi, serving as Special Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is transferred as Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises in place of  Sailesh, IAS (AM:85) wherein the latter is appointed as Member, Public Enterprises Selection Board.

Indevar Pandey, JAS (WB:88), Special Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region is appointed as Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare upon the superannuation of Shri Kshatrapati Shivaji, IAS (MH:86) on 31.03.2021.

Anjali Bhawra, IAS (PB:88), Special Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs os Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Soci11I Justice and Empowerment upon the superannuation of  Shakuntala D.Gamlin, IAS (UT:84) on 31.03.2021.

Jatindra Nath Swain, IAS (TN:88), Managing Director, Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd., Ministry of New & Renewable Energy as Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.

Shri Anil Kumar Jha, lAS (KN:88), Special Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance as Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

The ACC has also approved in-situ up-gradation of the following officers to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India, as a measure personal to them, by temporarily up&rading the posts held by them:

Anuradha Prasad, lDAS (86), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment as Special Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Promod Kumar Pathak, IFoS (KL:86}, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy as Special Secretary, Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy.

Jivesh Nandan, lAS (UP:87), Additional Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence as Special Secretary, Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence.

Sanjoy Kumar Singh, lAS (MP:87), Additional Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research & Education & Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research as Special Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research & Education & Secretary, Indian Council of Agricultural Research among others.
