The Ministry of Civil Aviation is set to develop the infrastructure of Guna and Shivpuri airports in Madhya Pradesh, with a total allocation of Rs 90 crore dedicated to development initiatives aimed at strengthening regional air connectivity.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has agreed to furnish Communications Navigation Surveillance (CNS)/Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) facilities and services for these airports, as stated in an official release on Wednesday.
Each airport will receive an allocation of Rs 45 crore and both Guna and Shivpuri airports have been identified for operations under the Udan scheme, designed to promote regional air connectivity.
The Ministry intends to develop these airports under the Udan scheme to facilitate and enhance regional air connectivity, according to the release.
