Smart Urbanisation Is The Need Of The Hour

We have come far from 17% of urban population in 1947 to around 600 million people estimated to live in urban areas in 2030. Around 45% of carbon footprints is created by buildings, thereby smart building mechanisms could reduce a high rate of carbon footprints for the future which would result in ecological rejuvenation. We cannot ignore the fact that Indian cities provide 90% of tax revenues and contribute to 65% of country’s GDP, hence smart urbanization is what we require today, says Hon’ble minister at BW Businessworld Smart Cities Conclave 2017.
