Telangana Government announces reshuffle of 15 officers

In a major administrative decision announced by the Telangana government on late Monday night, as many as eight senior IAS officers in the state are reshuffled. The state government has transferred eight district collectors and freshly appointed a few IAS officers who were awaiting an appointment.

According to sources in the state government, names of new collectors for Rajanna Sircilla, Jangaon, Warangal, Kamareddy, Nagarkurnool, Jogulamba Gadwal, Vikarabad, and Mahabubabad were cleared by the Telangana government following a top-level meeting late on Monday.

The newly appointed collectors are IAS officers from the 2016 batch, who were earlier inducted as Municipal Commissioners. Meanwhile, the government order issued has transferred Rajanna Sircilla district collector D Krishna Bhaskar as director of industries. IAS officer and Khammam municipal commissioner Anuraag Jayanti will replace Bhaskar as Rajanna Sircilla collector.
