The Government of Kerala, recently announced a major bureaucratic rejig within the state with key IAS officers transferred and new collectors assigned for four districts. The collectors of the District of Mallapuram, Kollam, Wayanad and Kannur have been reshuffled in the recent move by the state government.
Crucial bureaucratic movements, as TV Anupama, who was the Director, Women and Child Development have been assigned the position of Director, Scheduled Tribes Development Department, with additional charge of Commissioner of Entrance Examinations. While, on the other hand, Mohammad Y Safirulla K has been transferred as Special Commissioner, Kerala Goods and Service Tax department and has been relieved from his previous posting as Additional Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology Department. Safirulla will however, retain his position as Project Director, eHealth.
The order issued by the General Administration Department, also mentioned about creation of two ex-Cadre positions, namely; Chief Executive Officer, Cochin Smart Mission Limited and Director, Agriculture Development and Farmer Welfare Development. While S Shanavas have been allotted the charge of CEO, Cochin Smart Mission Limited on the other hand, outgoing Kannur collector, TV Subhash, gets the charge of Agriculture Development and Farmer Welfare Development.
Besides these slew of transfers, the state government also issued orders to assign collectors to four districts in the state. The transfer order issued, named Chandrasekar S as the Collector of Kannur, replacing former Collector, TV Subhash. Premkumar VR is named as Collector Mallapuram in place of Gopalakrishnan K. While Geetha A is named the Collector of Wayanad, instead of Adeela Abdulla, charges of Collector of Kollam is now given to Afsana Parveen instead of Abdul Nasar.
