Haryana Government’s efforts to employ e-Governance to make delivery of citizen-centric services to the people in a time-bound and hassle-free manner, have been recognised and rewarded by the Central Government as President of India, Ram Nath Kovind will confer Digital India Awards 2020 to the state Government on December 30 for its Antyodaya Saral Project.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) under the category ‘Excellence in Digital Governance — State/UT’ will confer the award.
Rakesh Gupta, Project Director, Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates, said that Antyodaya Saral (https://saralharyana.gov.in) is a Government to Citizen (G2C) public service delivery platform with the citizen at the centre of it. Citizens can apply for 549 schemes and services of Haryana Government offered by 40 departments, boards, corporations through the online portal, at the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or at the 117 Antyodaya Saral Kendras run by the Government Antyodaya Saral offers the citizens a standard service delivery experience across the State in terms of the documents required, fees charged etc.
More than 5.5 lakh applications are received through the Antyodaya Saral portal on a monthly basis. In addition to that, citizens are sent more than 20 lakh proactive SMSs per month informing them about the status of their applications. The citizen can also find the status of her application through the online portal, similar to how they would track the status of an e-commerce order, said Gupta.
The citizens have given Antyodaya Saral an overall satisfaction rating of 4.3 on a scale of 5 through the automated IVRS feedback calls made to them.
