Dwarka Expressway To be Opened For Public By PM Modi On Monday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 112 national highway projects spanning the length and breadth of the country. The total worth of these projects amounts to a staggering Rs 1 lakh crore.

According to an official statement, the Prime Minister's itinerary includes the inauguration of the Haryana section of the much-anticipated Dwarka Expressway, a project aimed at alleviating traffic congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on the National Highway-48. 

This 19-km-long stretch in Haryana, boasting eight lanes, has been completed at a cost of approximately Rs 4,100 crore. 

Notably, it encompasses two crucial packages: the 10.2-km-long Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and the 8.7-km-long Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. The Dwarka Expressway is anticipated to enhance connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass, offering commuters a smoother travel experience.

Among the plethora of projects scheduled for inauguration by the Prime Minister are several noteworthy projects. These include the 9.6-km-long six-lane Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II)-Package 3, linking Nangloi-Najafgarh Road to Sector 24 Dwarka section in Delhi, as well as three packages constituting the Lucknow Ring Road, developed at an estimated cost of around Rs 4,600 crore in Uttar Pradesh. 

Additionally, the Anandapuram-Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh, costing approximately Rs 2,950 crore, will also be unveiled.

In Himachal Pradesh, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kiratpur-to-Nerchowk section of NH-21, comprising two packages and valued at around Rs 3,400 crore. Similarly, the Dobaspet-Heskote section in Karnataka, divided into two packages and worth Rs 2,750 crore, will also witness inauguration. 

Moreover, a total of 42 other projects, collectively valued at Rs 20,500 crore, spread across various states in the nation, will be inaugurated, marking a significant stride towards bolstering the country's infrastructure network.

The inauguration ceremony, scheduled to take place in Gurugram, is expected to witness the participation of key government officials, stakeholders, and representatives from the infrastructure sector, marking a pivotal moment in India's journey towards infrastructure modernisation and expansion.
