Bow String Steel Girder Railway Bridge To Elevate Ayodhya's Connectivity

Ayodhya is on the brink of a monumental infrastructural transformation as the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Limited spearheads the swift construction of the Bow String Steel Girder Railway Bridge along the Barabanki-Akbarpur rail route. 

With an estimated cost of Rs 10 crores, this visionary project is in harmony with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's strategic vision for advancing rail connectivity in the region. The meticulous Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) approach has been initiated in the preparatory phase, featuring pre-survey and technical investigations conducted under the expertise of professionals from renowned institutions like IIT and NIT.

Embedded in a broader action plan for Ayodhya's holistic development, the Bow String Steel Girder Railway Overbridge is poised to become an architectural marvel, seamlessly blending aesthetics with structural integrity. 

The comprehensive process involves securing essential approvals from local bodies and authorities, commencement of construction work, and optimisation of properties for a seamless handover process. 

Meticulous execution of the artistic and structural design, coupled with the EPC module, promises completion within an impressive six-month timeframe.

At the heart of the initiative is the construction of the bowstring steel girder railway bridge section on LC No. 108A along the Barabanki-Akbarpur railway route. The survey, geotechnical investigation, and design aspects will be conducted under the supervision of experts from IIT/NIT, with necessary approvals diligently secured from relevant authorities.

Professionals from the Uttar Pradesh Bridge Corporation will orchestrate foundational work, substructure, superstructure, and finishing touches, encompassing coating, crash barrier construction, railing installation, and road signage placement.

Prioritising road safety, the project incorporates features such as thermoplastic marking, blinking cat eyes, anti-carbonation painting of structures, and view cutters.

With directives in place to expedite project completion, the Bow String Steel Girder Railway Bridge aims to amplify connectivity on the Barabanki-Akbarpur rail route, ensuring optimised accessibility for rail travellers. 

This transformative endeavour seamlessly aligns with Ayodhya's journey towards comprehensive infrastructural advancement, fortifying the region's commitment to progress and development.
