The Himachal Pradesh state government recently hosted as many as 29 IAS officers from Jammu and Kashmir cadre for an inter-state cadre training program in a bid to enhance the centers' key flagship Smart City program. NP Singh, an IAS officer from J&K cadre and Secretary Forest asserted that the initiative is a fortnight-long interactive program and is an action taken by the Jammu and Kashmir state government against orders from the Union government.
Singh asserted that by adding such tours, the Jammu and Kashmir officers will not only help by adding possible suggestions for Dehradun Smart City but definitely leverage broder learning about e-governance initiatives.
The initiative looks to promote 'Good Governance' at the National Center for Good Governance organization under Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy Mussoorie. “An interactive session has been held with 29 officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, in which work is being done for promoting Smart City Dehradun,” DSCL CEO R Rajesh Kumar said.
