Start-Up ecosystem to make benefit from MeitY's Samridh Program

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology(MeitY) of the Government of India recently launched 'Samridh' (Start-Up Accelerators of MeitY for pRoduct Innovation Development and growth) program in a bid to boost the start-up ecosystem of the country.

Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, during his address at the launch of the program, stated that the initiative will not only boost the start-up ecosystem with funding but will also help in nurturing skill sets to become successful.

Resonating similar views as PM Modi, Vaishnaw further said, "Technology and Energy of young population is a great potential source of energy, the potential for inclusive development." He further emphasized the need for new initiatives and products and services, which will create a better life for marginalized segments of society.

Vaishnaw further said, " Technology can play a crucial role in accelerating and can take the quantum jump to reach out to citizens, which could have taken more time. Using start-up ecosystem, these can be reached within months
